Antonio Polk, born in detroit Michigan on February 25th, raised in Evanston illinois, where he attended  Evanston Township high School, he later attended northeastern university in boston Massachusetts where he pursued a major in engineering and a minor in theatre.
 Upon realizing his deep love for the arts, Antonio decided to make acting more than a minor but a major parts of his life. his debut on the silver screen was in the 1993 feature film Rookie Of The Year, where he played the third basemen for the Chicago Cubs. In 1994 he appeared in the feature Miracle On 34th Street, where he played a court reporter. Antonio has countless other films credits which include,but are not limited to, Losing Isiah, Stir Of Echoes, Barbershop 2 Back In Business,  Arrest and Trial, Early Edition, and Chicago Hope. Antonio has also appeared in countless productions at the notorious Chicago Lyric Opera House. his stage credits include the Great Gatsby, Carmen. Sigfried, Rheingold, Regina. Il Travatore, Sweeney Todd, Turandoti, and Ephigenie. His union affiliations are, SAG/AFTRA/AGMA and Equity.Antonio has  recently added a new avenue of the business to his repertoire. He just wrote, produced and starred in the short filmed "DETAINED". Antonio only knows one direction...up, so watch him soar!

Kurt Merrill (Detective Zack Breslow) is honored to have worked with such a group of talented people in the production of “Detained” and throughout his career. He has performed in numerous stage productions, television commercials, videos, independent films and movies. His list of credits are both national and international and range everywhere from the Lyric Opera of Chicago to Christopher Nolan’s Batman “The Dark Knight”. He lives for his passion of acting and feels blessed to be able to work in so many different arenas. He would like to give a special thanks to Antonio Polk for giving him this opportunity.

Jacquie A. Coleman:

Jacquie A. Coleman resides in Chicago and has spent the last several years both on stage,working on independent film shorts, on camera commercials, as well as doing voice over work.She most recently worked on a stage production of "Defamation" directed and produced by Todd Logan.Some of her other stage credits include; " TheTaming of the Shrew" "A Tribute to Lorraine Hansberry and 500 Miles": "Stories of the Mule Train",  all directed by Ebony Joy and Shundrice Tucker."Family Reunion"directed by Anointed Harvesters,"The Cycle" produced by FAM Entertainment; "Permanent Collection" produced by North light Theater;"Granny Ballers"produced by 7th Child Production and "The Temple" produced by ETA Theater.Some of her independent short films and a feature film includes; "Detained" written and produced by Antonio Polk, "Geraldine" directed and produced by William Burlingham and Butch Morris Stewart; "Four Young Trees" produced by Roatan Productions; and Barbershop2 directed by Kevin Rodney Sullivan and produced by Alex Gartner. In addition, she has done voice over commercial spots for Jiffy Lube and several McDonald's spots.One of her greatest passions is her love of children.She has directed and staged several children productions to include "Cinderella" and a short film called"Canisee".Jacquie holds a B.A in theater from Marian College in Indianapolis Indiana.

Lance Newton:  


Lance Newton (who played Little Joe) in "Detained" is a young stage actor from Las Vegas, Nevada who is slowly but surely making a smooth transition to film and television. His acting career has led him to different places in and out of the country including, Wisconsin, New York, and South Africa, where he also studied film and television.  
Lance has been in many pilots. Chicago Fire, which is now in it's second season on NBC, was his first major network appearance. Lance is starring next to Antonio Polk in the 
sag film short "DETAINED", which he would like to give thanks to Antonio Polk for giving him this opportunity, He is looking forward to a strong and long lasting career developing his craft.
